about

This started as a skit on a Hank Williams song (a song I like), but then as I sang it, it morphed into something else - a hope for the redemption, transformation of America, and a prayer that'll it start here in New York City.

I SAW THE LIGHT

Chorus
I saw the light, dawn on New York City
I saw the light, man it looked so pretty
I saw the light, dawn on New York City
I saw the light, cross the US of A

Verse
Standing on the testing ground
Beside an ocean of joy
Is it what we own or who we are?
Standing on the testing ground

Verse
On a blanket of forgiveness I find
No grudges, no guilt, peace of mind
On a blanket of forgiveness I find
Break the mind-forged manacles that bind

Verse
Witness the darkness defer to light
Witness the spirit manifest within
Witness the Mother Kundalini rise
Witness the new dawn arise
